GRIDINT Research · Field note

M7.7 — 68 km NNW of Ende, Indonesia

The largest earthquake in the current thirty-day window: magnitude 7.7, sixty-eight kilometers north-northwest of Ende, Indonesia, at a depth of ten kilometers — shallow, as the record states it. The same window holds a second major, an M7.4 near San José del Palmar, Colombia. Both arrived on the Thirty Days of Earth instrument as the USGS feed delivered them, and both are drawn there now, depth-classed and tappable. This note says what the record holds; what it means on the ground is not in the record, and is not guessed at here.

Why this was noticed. The quake-cluster-major detector, on demo/world-events/data.json → quakes: any single event of M7.0 or above always drafts, regardless of the daily count.
